RetroMUD is a free service.  As a result of being a free
service, it is open to the public.  This is a requirement
for RetroMUD to exist as a non-profit organization.  
Therefore, by playing this game system, you legally 
indemnify RetroMUD of all responsibilies pursuant to
playing this game.  That is, as soon as you log in,
you are, in the eyes of the law, completely responsible
for your own actions.  Should legal authorities desire
any logs or information, we will comply with them fully
(HELP PRIVACY).

If we feel a crime is being committed or likely to be
committed, we have the right to contact any authorities.
However, SIMPLY BY LOGGING IN YOU GRANT US COMPLETE
INDEMNITY.  If you do not agree with this policy, stop
playing NOW.

This includes, but is not limited to:
* Primal Energy (HELP PRIMAL ENERGY) is not a guarantee,
a right, or otherwise a term of service.  Donating to
RetroMUD does not protect you from being removed or
punished within the game context or outside of it.

* Minors.  In order to play this game, you cannot
be under 18 years of age, or if you are, you must
have your parent's consent.  If you do not have your
parent's consent, you should log off now.  While we 
discourage content and material that would
be considered "R-rated" by the movie industry, 
we cannot control the actions of players all the time
(HELP CONDUCT).

* Criminal Activities.  Admitting to previous criminal 
activities, and other possible past and future acts 
that could be construed as illegal will result, if
prosecuted, in those logs being handed over to the 
appropriate authorities.  

* Stalking.  RetroMUD does not tolerate stalking or
harassment amongst its coding staff (HELP HARASSMENT).
It is fairly difficult to be stalked by another player
because of built in commands against this sort of
behavior (HELP IGNORE).  If you feel this is really
an issue, contact a RetroMUD Administrator or Archwizard
and we will deal with the problem accordingly.

Note, in ALL cases you are expected to know these rules
and to follow them, and you are most importantly,
EXPECTED TO SEEK THE APPROPRIATE LEGAL ACTION AS SOON
AS POSSIBLE. Remember, merely by logging into this
game, you are agreeing to follow these rules and
indemnify RetroMUD as a corporate entity (and its
officers and staff).
